About Coaching
Coaching is a positive and developmental practice that helps you move from where you are to where you want to be. Unlike other helping professions, the coach does not diagnose a problem (therapy/counselling), fix what’s broken or wrong (consulting), or tell you what was done in a similar situation (mentoring). A coach is a collaborative partner working with you to strategize and explore a way forward that may include new experiences, new learnings and meaningful outcomes.
The client/coach relationship is a partnership. In no way is the coach the authority in the client’s life. The client sets the agenda for each call by completing preparation question at least 2 hours before a scheduled appointment. The client is responsible for decisions made and actions taken as a result of the coaching calls. The focus of the coaching could include any of the following: leadership skills, life skills, prioritization, communication skills, life and business goals, problem solving, decision-making, financial management, life purpose work, vision for the future, transitions, boundaries, limiting belief systems, negotiations and relationship skills.
